Launched in 2007, the Real Sword Type-97 was produced to bring in a new and exotic design to the airsoft community. The RS Type-97 is based off the QBZ-97, an export version of the PLA QBZ-95. In the decade plus since the initial launch, the QBZ platform has undergone several changes – including rail upgrades, the Canadian FTU project, as well as the QBZ-95-1 iteration in the Chinese military. Meanwhile, aftermarket support for the Type-97 remains non-existent. To fill in this gap in the airsoft community, Far East Tactical has teamed up with Serika Arms to create PROJECT: LONG BOW.
