Iranian military officials from the IRGC arrived outside of Stepanakert to meet with Azeri forces.

Although Iran maintains neutrality in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, border guards and other military units keep watch, so as to not have conflict pour into Iran’s borders.

Masoud Jazayeri, the spokesperson for the IRGC, stated that the military visit was to ensure the Russia-Iran-Azeri-Turkey Gazprom gas pipeline project remains uninterrupted.
