PAP Plate Carriers Part 3
‘The Warrior Vest’
We continue on our series of PAP vests. Hopefully more articles on various other nation-states will come online, as we revive the Far East Blog.
The Warrior Vest was first utilized by the Snow Leopard Commando Unit in 2015, a major improvement over previous body armors with the use of modular webbing. It was also part of a system that is similar to the US Army’s Land Warrior program. The Warrior Program was cancelled but the PAP continued to use newer versions of the vest without the electronics. The vest contains soft armor inserts and can also be reinforced with ceramic plates. As a predecessor to the newer Type 15, it still can be seen used by PAP stationed at embassies in Africa.
